Community Events & Awareness

Movie Talk Summer Camp
The Movie Talk Summer Camp is being offered to children ages 9-13 at the Cultural Arts Center in Douglasville. Write, produce and star in your own movie! Week 1 is June 17-21 and Week 2 is July 8-12. Admission is $120. Click here to register online. View the flyer for more information.

Games With Grandparents
PreK Families: Early math skills can be a fun way to practice with your grandchild. Join us for games, tips and tricks, and lunch. You'll even go home with your own resources. This event is Thursday, June 6 from 12-1 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the DCSS Central Office, 11490 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Douglasville, GA 303134. Direct Current Swimming
Direct Current Swimming is offering several programs to children and adults in Douglas County at the Boundary Waters Aquatic Center.  View the flyer for more information.

Douglas County Challengers Baseball
The Douglas County Challengers Baseball Team for special needs children plays every Saturday morning during the Spring and Fall seasons at Beulah Ruritan Park in Douglasville. Children are accepted at any time during the seasons. View the flyer for more information.
